We pride ourselves on having a very professional and friendly staff to assist you in your visit with us. We have carefully selected and trained our employees to help provide you the finest possible care. We are always looking to improve, however - please contact one of our managers below if you have any concerns or complements about any of our staff.
Management Team
Sharron Hoorn
Our Practice Manager, Sharron, runs the whole show. She is responsible for coordinating everything including the office staff, billing department, communication with other health care providers, and business management. Cathy Starnes
Cathy is responsible for the day-to-day function of all our office personnel. Her job is to ensure that you have the smoothest possible experience in our office. Christie Gondek
Christie is responsible for the management and training of all our technicians - the people who assist you once you are in the examination rooms. You may contact her at 810-299-8550.
Michael Hoorn, PT
Mike is ultimately responsible for all the care provided in our physical therapy department. He oversees the care of most of our patients, as well as coordinating the care you will receive from our physical therapy assistants and athletic trainers. Mike received his training at Michigan State University. He has extensive experience in all aspects of physical therapy and specializes in orthopedic PT. You may contact him at 810-299-8550.
Physician Assistants
Our Physician Assistants ("PAs") assist our surgeons in many ways. PAs undergo training that is very similar to medical school, but shorter in duration. They always work under close supervision of our doctors and are in constant communication with them. They are involved throughout our patients' care: seeing patients in the office, performing pre-operative history and physicals, assisting the doctors in surgery, taking care of patients in the hospital and emergency room, and answering phone calls from patients.
Heather Lapp, PA-C
Heather has prior expertise in Emergency Medicine. She works full-time with Dr. Loniewski and is involved in all aspects of his patient care, including Joint Camp.
Jodi Branyan, PA-C
Jodi has experience in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation as well as Plastic Surgery. She is Dr. Farjo's full-time PA and involved in all aspects of his patient care. You will most likely see her at your first visit at his office and she assists in surgery with him as well. Jodi is available to answer the majority of your questions, from requests for medication refills, to specific questions about your problem or surgery.
Jay Peterson, PA-C
Jay has training in Sports Medicine and is now an Assistant Professor at the University of Toledo in the PA training program. He works part time with Dr. Farjo, seeing patients in the office as well as assisting in surgery.
Front Office Staff
These are the people you will meet upon first entering our office, as well as the last people you'll see when you're done with your appointment. They are responsible for scheduling appointments, ensuring that all your paperwork is filled properly, answering phone calls, and can handle questions regarding your insurance.

Surgery Schedulers
Our surgery schedulers are responsible for arranging appointments for surgery, including all aspects thereof. That means: insurance issues, obtaining authorizations, arranging for medical tests, as well as communication with the operating room staff.

Medical Records
Our medical records staff help us maintain our state-of-the-art electronic medical records and digital x-ray systems. All paper data that comes in (from the forms you fill out to the information faxed to us) is scanned into the system and organized by these people.

Radiology Technologists/Medical Assistants
These personnel help us directly in patient care. All of our technologists, in addition to being highly skilled in using our new digital x-ray system, are cross-trained to place casts and assist with office procedures. These people will take you from the waiting room, obtain your x-rays, review your medical history, and assist our physicians and PAs as needed while you are in the examination room.

Carrie assists Dr. Loniewski with his Total Joint Replacement program. She guides patients through the process of joint replacement, from surgery scheduling, to orientation programs, to answering specific questions before and after the joint replacement. She is a wonderful resource for any patient undergoing this type of surgery. We are proud to provide in-office physical therapy with state-of-the-art equipment and therapists that are highly trained to help you recover your full function quickly and safely.
