When To Call

This is only a partial list but if you have any of these warning signs, please do not hesitate to call anytime:

  • Sudden chest pain
  • Difficult and/or rapid breathing
  • Shortness of breath
  • Sweating
  • Confusion
  • Two readings of temperature over 101°
  • Pain not controlled with other measures such as elevation and icing.
  • Sudden new numbness of the extremity.
  • Excessive swelling causing extreme tightness and pain.
  • Sudden change in color although minor color changes are normal.
