We are the ONLY therapy clinic in Livingston County that works exclusively with our physicians and have done so for over 13 years. Our collaborative efforts help to significantly shorten your recovery and reduce your overall health costs. You can contact our Physical Therapy Department directly at (810) 299-8557. Having our own physical therapy program helps our patients in many ways, with the ultimate goal being a faster and better recovery from their orthopedic problem:

Our physical therapy unit has all brand-new, state-of-the-art equipment. Our therapists have a keen understanding of our common goal: your safe return to full activity as quickly as possible. We have worked closely with them to develop appropriate treatment protocols for the specific types of surgeries we perform. Our therapists have many years of experience and have worked with our patients countless times. We specially selected them to come work for us because they have repeatedly demonstrated outstanding quality of care, plus they have great interpersonal skills.

Our Physical Therapy Equipment

Below are a few photos of some of our physical therapy equipment.

In addition to our Cybex equipment, we have also recently acquired a Galileo 2000 vibratory stimulus machine. This is an exciting new technique in rehabilitation of muscle groups, and we are one of the first sites in Michigan to have this device. Studies have shown improvements in muscle strength, reflexes and joint motion. We are currently applying this treatment to selected disorders of the knee, ankle, shoulder, and lower back.

// Why Make An Appointment With Us

Our practice is called Advanced Orthopedic Specialists for a reason. A Specialist in orthopedics implies that the physician has had fellowship training. Orthopedic surgeons attend 4 years of undergraduate college, 4 years of medical school and 5 years of residency training in general orthopedic surgery. Fellowship training is an additional year of training to specialize in a specific field of orthopedics. All of the doctors at AOS are fellowship trained, offering patients the best educated physicians to help address their problem.
