When To Call
This is only a partial list but if you have any of these warning signs, please do not hesitate to call anytime:
- Sudden chest pain
- Difficult and/or rapid breathing
- Shortness of breath
- Sweating
- Confusion
- Two readings of temperature over 101°
- Pain not controlled with other measures such as elevation and icing.
- Sudden new numbness of the extremity.
- Excessive swelling causing extreme tightness and pain.
- Sudden change in color although minor color changes are normal.
